Description of the Racquet
The Biomimetic Max was updated for the 2012 - 2013 season with a new weight of 130g, it still features HM6 Carbon Construction, Aeroskin and a Gecko-tac grip and now includes one of the new Biomimetic Technology called Anatomic Construction. Anatomic Construction gives improved control by increasing the torsional stability of the racquet during off center shots. It is the ideal racquet for the advanced to intermediate player looking for a pure power racquet. The teardrop head shape provides long main strings for greater string deflection resulting in increased power. The 2012 Biomimetic Max is World Number 2 Ramy Ashour's racquet of choice.

Our favorite Squash wrap grip is the Gamma Hi Tec. It's only $8 to have it installed at the time of purchase. It has a great tacky feel and sticks to your hand even when it gets wet.
The Tecnifibre 305 17g string upgrade is recommended because factory string is less playable/durable then the Tecnifibre 305 17g string we suggest. At the time of purchase, the Tecnifibre 305 17g restring upgrade is $21.95. It's normally $36 if you mailed the racquet to us later so you save $14 if you choose the upgrade right away. The tecnifibre will fray before it breaks and that's completely normal so don't worry about it!
If you choose a vibration dampener go with the Silencer (Our favorite), Head Smart Sorb, Head Megasorb, or the BBB (Big Bad Band).
A question we get everyday is "What is Grommet Tape?" It's a piece of tape that goes over the head (bumper) of your racquet. Sometimes you need a restring because of a broken bumper. For an extra buck to add this, it could save you $25-40!!
We recommend an overgrip for players that tend a sweat a lot, want to build up a grip, or wear through wrap grips very often. An overgrip is thinner and wears quicker than re-grips, but can be changed much quicker and easier than a re-grip. We recommend the Wilson Pro Overgrip, but for those looking for the best sweat absorption, durability, and feel... the Overgrip/ Re-grip gives the best combination. Note** when an overgrip is installed, you will not be able to see the re-grip if chose to have it installed.
We get follow up calls/emails everyday thanking us for the upgrades as they really help bring out the performance of the racquet.

Technology
Introduced in 2011 - 2012 Updated for 2012 - 2013
Nature and its organisms have evolved over millions of years to become highly optimised and efficient in their chosen enviroment.
This racquet features:
- Anatomic Construction - New for 2012
- Aeroskin
- HM6 Carbon
- Gecko-Tac Grip
The concept of Biomimetics is the study of nature and the natural world to inspire the design of engineering solutions and cuting edge technology. Application of Biomimetic design can be seen in a diverse range of different industries from wing design on aircrafts to the design of high speed bullet trains and advanced structural engineering. Sporting examples include super strong crash cells in formula 1 cars inspired by honeycomb and hydrodynamic swimsuits inspired by shark skin.
Dunlop has taken this concept to inspire Biomimetic racquet Technologies, creating the ultimate range of performance racquets.
Anatomic Construction: Apex predators are highly evolved for power and precision. Taking inspiration from the anatomical bone structure Dunlop has inverted the structural form of the throat in 3 key areas to minimise torsional deflection for increased precision and control of off center shots.
The 2011 - 2012 Biomimetic Technologies draw their key design features from some of nature's most evolved creatures: the shark, the bee and the gecko. The three Biomimetic technologies that were introduced for the 2011 - 2012 season are:
Aeroskin: The patented technology strategically applied to the surface of Biomimetic rackets. Like the skin of a shark, Aeroskin is a highly textured surface that reduces aerodynamic drag by up to 25% (vs. previous Dunlop technology) for increased racket head speed and power. (See image above.)
HM6 Carbon: A newly designed carbon compound that mimics the hexagonal structure of a honeycomb, one of nature's strongest and most efficient structures. The HM6 carbon is placed between Aerogel-enhanced carbon to reduce racket vibration by up to 10% for ultimate energy return and feel. (See image above.)
Gecko-Tac: The name given to Dunlop's new grip surface treatment. Much like the pads found on gecko's feet, which can even cling upside down to wet surfaces, Gecko-Tac grip provides up to 50% more grip and tack than previous Dunlop grips, giving players greater feel and precision with their racket. (See image above.)
Steve Hall, Director of Marketing for Dunlop Racket Sports, said, "Squash players are going to love the feel and playability of these new Biomimetic rackets. The launch of the Dunlop Biomimetic tennis range was our most successful ever, and as the number one brand in squash we expect a similar result."
