Description of the Racquet

HEAD took the squash market by surprise in 2013 with the introduction of Graphene technology. Since then Head Graphene series has been the best selling high-end frames in history as Squashgalaxy. Now for 2015, HEAD is riding the market changing technology wave with the introduction of Graphene XT… Reengineering the incorporation of Graphene technology, they have been able to create up to a 20% lighter frame, while adding up to 30% more strength…Creating some of their lightest, strongest, and most powerful squash frames to date. Are a 110g and 120g racquet too light for you?

Take a look at the Graphene XT Cyano 135. Designed with the same aggressive teardrop design as the XT Cyano 110 and 120… the Cyano XT 135 brings the balance back to a head light feel. This racquet will be great for the player that likes to attack, but needs a little more mass in their frame to help generate their power.

Our favorite Squash wrap grip is the Squash Galaxy Wrap Grip. We've been in the business a long time and always get requests on what our favorite wrap grip is for squash so we went out and made our own! The Squash Galaxy Wrap grip has a smooth and extremely tacky feel and is the appropriate length and size for any squash racquet on the market. It's only $8 to have it installed at the time of purchase.

The Python Atlas Deluxe 17g (Black) string upgrade (+$25) is recommended at the time of purchase because the factory string generally has lesser playability and durability qualities and often strung too tight. After years of play-testing and selling strings in squash and racquetball we feel we can finally recommend a string to our customer base that not only offers great durability, but backs that up with a great feel and play. The Python Atlas Deluxe is a soft, multifilament string that will gradually fray through the life cycle of the string.(This is completely normal, so don’t worry about it. It will fray down to the very last fibers) For players looking for added “feel”, try the Atlas Deluxe in an 18g which is thinner and more responsive and for those who like a little "stiffer" string, try Tecnifibre 305 Green 17g which is still a multifilament or those who like a textured string that does not fray, try the Ashaway PowerNick 18g String.

If you choose a vibration dampener go with the Python Vibration Dampner (Our favorite), Head Smart Sorb, Head Megasorb, or the BBB (Big Bad Band).

A question we get everyday is "What is Grommet Tape?" It's a piece of tape that goes over the head (bumper) of your racquet. Sometimes you need a restring because of a broken bumper. For an extra buck to add this, it could save you $25-40!!

We recommend an overgrip for players that tend a sweat a lot, want to build up a grip, or wear through wrap grips very often. An overgrip is thinner and wears quicker than re-grips, but can be changed much quicker and easier than a re-grip. We recommend the SquashGalaxy Black Overgrip or SquashGalaxy White Overgrip, but for those looking for the best sweat absorption, durability, and feel... the Overgrip/Re-grip gives the best combination. Note** when an overgrip is installed, you will not be able to see the re-grip if chose to have it installed.

We get follow up calls/emails everyday thanking us for the upgrades as they really help bring out the performance of the racquet.

New for 2015 GrapheneXT allows an even more extreme distribution of weight creating HEAD‘s lightest racquets ever! ... less head weight is created for an even faster swing speed and explosive power!

New for 2013 - Discovered in 2004, Graphene consists of a single two-dimensional layer of carbon atoms. This material has a breaking strength 200 times greater than steel, which makes it the ultimate substance for creating new HEAD squash racquet frames with exceptional properties. Graphene technology allows for the first time an optimal redistribution of weight in HEAD racquets. Through the use of Graphene in the shaft, the weight in the middle part of the squash racquet can be reduced. Instead, weight can be shifted to more functionally relevant areas in the grip and racquet head. This unique construction provides players with an unmatched maneuverability and an increased swingweight. In other words, a racquet with Graphene is easier to swing and enables even more powerful shots. And it will give opponents a really hard time.

This video is for Graphene Tennis Racquets but the use of Graphene for Squash Racquets is the same.

Corrugated Technology 2

A Revolutionary Throat Design. The next generation of HEAD's Corrugated Technology (CT2) incorporates corrugated rails on all sides of the racquet throat resulting in explosive power on every shot.
