Description of the Racquet
The 2013 Biomimetic Tour-CX Squash Racquet is new for the 2013 - 2014 season with weight of 135g and a 490 sq cm head. It features all the new 2013 - 2014 Biomimetic Technologies: BioFibre, Aeroskin Cx and MoS2 Grommets. It also Features the 2012 -2013 Biomimetic Technologies: Anatomic Construction, CX Technology, Isometric Headshape and Anti-Friction Grommets (AFG). The 2013 Tour CX is primed again to be a top seller for 2013-2014. The Tour CX is ideal for the players looking to advance their touch and control side of their game. The 14 x 18 string pattern combined with IHS, CX, and AC technologies create a larger sweet spot for more forgiveness and more control in their shots. IHS in addition creates maximal hitting surface toward the frame, allowing the player to "pick" more shots of the wall.
Starting in 2013 Dunlop DOES NOT supply a cover with their racquets.

Our favorite Squash wrap grip is the Squash Galaxy Wrap Grip. We've been in the business a long time and always get requests on what our favorite wrap grip is for squash so we went out and made our own! The Squash Galaxy Wrap grip has a smooth and extremely tacky feel and is the appropriate length and size for any squash racquet on the market. It's only $8 to have it installed at the time of purchase.
The Tecnifibre 305 17g string upgrade is recommended because factory string is less playable/durable then the Tecnifibre 305 17g string we suggest. At the time of purchase, the Tecnifibre 305 17g restring upgrade is $21.95. It's normally $36 if you mailed the racquet to us later so you save $14 if you choose the upgrade right away. The tecnifibre will fray before it breaks and that's completely normal so don't worry about it!
If you choose a vibration dampener go with the Silencer (Our favorite), Head Smart Sorb, Head Megasorb, or the BBB (Big Bad Band).
A question we get everyday is "What is Grommet Tape?" It's a piece of tape that goes over the head (bumper) of your racquet. Sometimes you need a restring because of a broken bumper. For an extra buck to add this, it could save you $25-40!!
We recommend an overgrip for players that tend a sweat a lot, want to build up a grip, or wear through wrap grips very often. An overgrip is thinner and wears quicker than re-grips, but can be changed much quicker and easier than a re-grip. We recommend the Wilson Pro Overgrip, but for those looking for the best sweat absorption, durability, and feel... the Overgrip/ Re-grip gives the best combination. Note** when an overgrip is installed, you will not be able to see the re-grip if chose to have it installed.
We get follow up calls/emails everyday thanking us for the upgrades as they really help bring out the performance of the racquet.

Nature and its organisms have evolved over millions of years to become highly optimized and efficient in their chosen environment.
The concept of Biomimetics is the study of nature and the natural world to inspire the design of engineering solutions and cutting edge technology. Application of Biomimetic design can be seen in a diverse range of different industries from wing design on aircrafts to the design of high speed bullet trains and advanced structural engineering. Sporting examples include super strong crash cells in formula 1 cars inspired by honeycomb and hydrodynamic swimsuits inspired by shark skin.
Dunlop has taken this concept to inspire Biomimetic racquet Technologies, creating the ultimate range of performance racquets.
For 2013 Dunlop has developed entirely new technologies and introduced new racquet frame geometries to take the concept of Biomimetics to another level by creating the most performance enhanced range of racquets to date. The new Biomimetic technologies for 2013 - 2014 are BioFibre, Aeroskin Cx and MoS2 Grommets.
BioFibre: Stronger than steel and lighter than carbon, Dunlop has extracted the stem fibres from plants and woven them into the shaft portion of the racquet. On ball impact this natural fibrous structure actively filters shockwaves by 18% to provide a cleaner more solid hit than conventional all composite construction.
AeroSkin Cx: Dunlop has taken the concept of low drag surface texturing to a new level. Inspired by the textured skin of sharks and engineered in a wind tunnel, AeroSkin Cx smooth's turbulent air and reduces drag by up to 36% to provide greater racquet head speed for more penetrative shot making.
MoS2 Grommets: Inspired by the wear resistant self lubricating properties of snake skin, Dunlop has engineered a revolutionary new polymer featuring a microscopic lubricant MoS2. This increases grommet durability by 40% and reduces string friction by 27% delivering more string movement for enhanced power and spin.
The 2012 - 2013 Biomimetic Technologies draw their key design features from some of nature's most evolved creatures: the apex predator, the sandfish skink and the birds of prey. The new Biomimetic technologies that were introduced for the 2012 - 2013 season are:
Isometric Head Shape: The isometric head shape offers a larger sweetspot located nearer to the 12 o'clock position on the racquet compared to convential geometry. This offers greater, more forgiving power across the racquet face and allowing players to hit more powerful shots when close to side walls.
Anatomic Construction: Apex predators are highly evolved for power and precision. Taking inspiration from the anatomical bone structure Dunlop has inverted the structural form of the throat in 3 key areas to minimise torsional deflection for increased precision and control of off center shots.
CX Technology: CX technology is inspired by the wings of birds of prey to reduce aerodynamic drag in the hoop. This combined with an isometric head shape greatly increases the racquets sweet spot to maximise power.
Anti-Friction Grommets: Insipred by the sandfish skink, a lizard that can swim through sand, Dunlop's unique grommet technology combines microscopic ridges with a near frictionless, high strength polymer that provides greater string movement and improved aerodynamics for added penetrative power.
The 2011 - 2012 Biomimetic Technologies draw their key design features from some of nature's most evolved creatures: the shark, the bee and the gecko. The three Biomimetic technologies that were introduced for the 2011 - 2012 season are:
Aeroskin: The patented technology strategically applied to the surface of Biomimetic rackets. Like the skin of a shark, Aeroskin is a highly textured surface that reduces aerodynamic drag by up to 25% (vs. previous Dunlop technology) for increased racket head speed and power. (See image above.)
HM6 Carbon: A newly designed carbon compound that mimics the hexagonal structure of a honeycomb, one of nature's strongest and most efficient structures. The HM6 carbon is placed between Aerogel-enhanced carbon to reduce racket vibration by up to 10% for ultimate energy return and feel. (See image above.)
Gecko-Tac: The name given to Dunlop's new grip surface treatment. Much like the pads found on gecko's feet, which can even cling upside down to wet surfaces, Gecko-Tac grip provides up to 50% more grip and tack than previous Dunlop grips, giving players greater feel and precision with their racket. (See image above.)
Steve Hall, Director of Marketing for Dunlop Racket Sports, said, "Squash players are going to love the feel and playability of these new Biomimetic rackets. The launch of the Dunlop Biomimetic tennis range was our most successful ever, and as the number one brand in squash we expect a similar result."
